Recommended Care Instructions

To care for your hand-painted silk wearables, handwashing is recommended as it restores luster to the silk. Avoid drycleaning, especially for embellished silks, as it may damage beading or other ornamentation.

A mild soap such as castile is recommended. Do not use detergents.

Gently handwash silk separately in lukewarm water. (NOTE: Some dye may be released.)

Do NOT soak. Rinse well in lukewarm water. Add 1 tbsp distilled white vinegar per quart of water to the final rinse to neutralize alkali.

Roll wet silk in an expendable towel and squeeze gently. Do NOT wring.

While silk is still damp, iron on wrong side with dry iron on wool setting.

Store silk in a cool, dry place. Do not store in plastic.
